Summary: A new book has been published on the 1989 abduction of Jacob Wetterling in St. Joseph, Minn., the search for Jacob, and suspects in Jacob Wetterling’s kidnapping.

The book, titled “It Can’t Happen Here: The Search for Jacob Wetterling” (2015), was written by Robert M. Dudley and edited by Dianne Rassmussen, with illustrations by Milo Von Strom and cover design by Brittany Tainter.

Update: Jacob Wetterling’s remains have been found after Danny Heinrich led investigators to a site in Central Minnesota. … Previous: Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner announced that nothing of consequence was found in the July 2010 search of the Rassier farmstead in the Jacob Wetterling kidnapping investigation; however, he added that technology could eventually improve to the extent that it would allow for future testing of the items seized.

Michele Bachmann in Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District, Aubrey Immelman reported that in the final week of the campaign he mounted a ground assault with an advertising blitz comprising ads in 25 newspapers across the district with a combined circulation of approximately 150,000.
