The administration, they were hands off. They didn’t do anything. Where were the boats that could have been commandeered by the government to be sent into this region to deal with that oil plume as it was coming up in the water and destroying marine life? Nowhere to be found. Why? The administration was hands off on this policy.

One year ago today, I reported that al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden released two messages to convince Muslims they should hate President Barack Obama, in a PR offensive that analysts said showed the terrorist organization worried the new president would succeed in improving America’s image in the Muslim world and undermine the group’s jihad, or holy war.
