Having completed my one-week, 100-mile walking tour the length of the Sixth District from north to south, I will take a few days off from traveling to catch up on campaign office work.
My next walking tour will take me east to west across the Sixth District, down Highway 23 from Foley to Paynesville.
The YouTube video below shows my family meeting me in Lowell Park on the St. Croix River, Stillwater, at the end of my 100-mile campaign swing on foot from Freeport to Stillwater, on August 16, 2008.
The next YouTube video shows me arriving at Lowell Park on the St. Croix River waterfront in Stillwater, after my 100-mile walk the length of the Sixth Congressional District from Freeport to Stillwater, Saturday, August 16, 2008.

Immelman finishes walking tour Saturday
The man who wants to beat U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann in the Sept. 9 Republican primary said he’s wrapping up his walking tour of the 6th Congressional District Saturday afternoon.
Aubrey Immelman, a professor of political psychology at the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University, said he expects to reach Stillwater — the district’s eastern edge — by 5 p.m. after starting out from the western edge in Freeport last Saturday. …
Immelman said he was using the walking tour to introduce himself to the district’s residents and highlight the fact that Bachmann has become more well-known for her trips to Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico and frequent television appearances than for serving the district.
