On the Campaign Trail: Day 35

One year ago today, on the 35th day of my campaign against U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann for the Republican nomination as House of Representatives candidate in Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District, I was working to catch up on campaign office business after completing my one-week, 100-mile walking tour the length of the Sixth District from Freeport in Central Minnesota to Stillwater on the Wisconsin border.

As St. Cloud Times reporter Lawrence Schumacher reported at the time:

Immelman said he was using the walking tour to introduce himself to the district’s residents and highlight the fact that Bachmann has become more well-known for her trips to Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico and frequent television appearances than for serving the district.
