American couple kidnapped in Yemen – Armed tribesmen kidnapped an American couple near the Yemeni capital Sana’a Monday, officials said. … Taxi driver Mohammed Saleh, who was driving the pair, said six gunmen stopped them on the road and took them to al-Hamra village. … On Sunday, it emerged that U.S.-born cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki had called on Muslims to kill American civilians in a video released by the Yemeni offshoot of al-Qaida.
