Brother Dietrich Reinhart, OSB

Abbot John Klassen, OSB, will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial for Br. Dietrich Reinhart in the Saint John’s Abbey Church, Collegeville, at 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Interment in Saint John’s Abbey Cemetery will follow the Mass.

Br. Dietrich’s Benedictine brothers have asked community members to offer two Masses according to the manner of their participation in the priesthood of Christ.

In accordance with Br. Dietrich’s final wishes, memorials are preferred to the Benedictine Institute, Saint John’s University, P.O. Box 7222, Collegeville, MN 56321.

Memorial Service for Brother Dietrich

A memorial service for Br. Dietrich Reinhart, OSB, president emeritus of Saint John’s University, will take place in the Saint John’s Abbey Church at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009.

The memorial service will include prayers and reflections, as well as choral offerings by the CSB/SJU Chamber Choir, the SJU Men’s Chorus, and Johnnie Blend.

A reception will follow in the Great Hall immediately after the service.

Br. Dietrich served as the 11th President of Saint John’s University, 1991-2008.
